Apostle Smith is a native of West Tennessee his early training came from the African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E.)
After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.S. in Business Administration, Apostle Smith moved to Little Rock, AR to work in retail as Co-Manager for the Kroger Co.
The Call of Ministry was heavy upon Apostle and in 1987 he accepted his calling to preach the gospel under the leadership of his Pastor Rev. Jerry D. Black of Greater Paradise M B Church. Apostle Smith was ordained 3 years later by Bishop Charles E. Williams. Over the next 15 years Apostle Smith served under various leaders to include Pastor Burt E. Bennett, Bishop Steven Arnold, Apostle Lawrence Braggs and Apostle Kevin D. Allen. God used each one of these great Pastors to influence and impact the young ministry of Apostle Smith.
Apostle Smith married the beautiful and very gifted Lavaleria J. Smith in June of 2000.They were called to their first pastorage in April of 2001. At Labannah M B Church Pastor and Sister Smith homed their skills in preparation for what would be their greatest challenge yet.
In April of 2002 God moved the Smith’s from Labannah which had been a very prosperous church, and told them Pastor Smith to found the Abundant Grace Christian Church (AGCC). The Smith’s founded AGCC in April 2002 with 23 people and a word from the Lord.
Pastor Smith was confirmed to the office of the Apostle by Apostle Kevin D. Allen in 2010. Sis Lavaleria Smith accepted her call into ministry in 2006 and was appointed to the position of Co-Pastor in 2010.
Apostle and Pastor Smith have been laboring with God and the Abundant Grace Christian Church for 15 years; lives have been mended, ministries have been birth and souls have been saved.
The Smiths have committed to the parental oversight of one son and two lovely daughters; Jeremy L. Saxton, Jasmond D. Smith and Jaela D. Smith.
Apostle Smith is committed to creating and cultivating on authentic church experience that glorifies God and exceeds all expectations. He believes that “Prayer Changes Things”.

EVANGELIZE- Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with hundreds of thousands of residents in the Greater Little Rock area, which will include Pulaski, Saline and Jefferson counties
CONGREGATION- Welcome 20,000 members into fellowship of our church family- Loving, Learning, Laughing and Living in Peace
EQUIPPING- Equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping discover their God given gifts and talents
MATURING- Developing people to spiritual maturity through bible studies, small groups, seminars, retreats and a bible school.
EMPOWERING- Empowering every member for a life of service through a personal life mission in the world and planting daughter churches in the regional areas
DREAM- At least 20 acres of land on which to build a regional church for the Greater Little Rock area. The facilities will be designed to minister to the whole person.
Develop business enterprises that will employ and service thousands of people
